About the Job
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Millwork Shop Manager to oversee daily operations at our millwork production facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing shop personnel, coordinating production schedules, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. This position plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of commercial millwork projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage all daily operations within the millwork shop.
  • Coordinate production schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Review shop drawings and project specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Oversee fabrication of custom millwork, cabinetry, casework, and related products.
  • Manage and lead shop personnel, including carpenters, machine operators, and installers.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of shop equipment and tools.
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and quality control.
  • Monitor materials, inventory levels, and coordinate ordering with purchasing as needed.
  • Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate regularly with project managers, estimators, and installation teams to ensure project success.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and productivity in the shop.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in architectural millwork or cabinet fabrication.
  • Previous supervisory or shop management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of millwork materials, fabrication methods, and woodworking machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working on commercial millwork projects preferred.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and meeting production deadlines.
